SPECIAL CITY COUNCIL MEETING
May 7, 1976
3:00 P.M.
MEMBERS PRESENT: Mayor Bravenec; Councilmen Dozier, Halter, Stephenson, Ringer,
Hazen, Gardner; City Manager Bardell; Student Liaison Ward;
Planning Assistant Longley
MEMBERS ABSENT: None
VISITORS PRESENT: See guest register.
..Agenda Item No. 1 -- Discussion of bond financing particulars with financial
advisors.
Mr. Ernest Brown discussed the process and particulars of issuance and financing
of the proposed bonds.
Agenda Item No. 4 -- Closed session to discuss internal affairs.
Mayor Bravenec called the meeting into closed session.
.Agenda Item No. 3-- Proposal to hire rate consultant for gas increase.
Councilman Halter moved that Mr. Bill McMorries be employed to study the rate
increase request.
The motion was seconded by Councilman Ringer and unanimously approved.
Agenda Item No. 2 -- Proposal for budget procedure.
Mayor Bravenec suggested that members of the Council who had an interest in the
preparation of the budget attend the meetings of the Financial Management Committee.
Agenda Item No. 5 -- Other business.
Mayor Bravenec summarized the discussion of the Ambulance Committee.
Councilman Hazen outlined her suggestion that a rescue van be housed in the fire
station to render immediate aid until the ambulance arrives.
Councilman Halter stated that he felt the County should share the cost of such a
program.
Mayor Bravenec directed City Manager Bardell to investigate the cost of such a
system.
Agenda Item No. 6 -7 Adjourn.
Mayor Bravenec declared the meeting adjourned.
