MEMBERS PRESENT' Mayor Holt, Councilmen Bell, Dozier, Gardner, Adams, Bravenec; Administrative Secretary Moss; Planning Assistant Longley MEMBERS ABSENT' Councilman Halter; City Manager Bardell Agenda Item No. 1-- Consideration of an ordinance calling for a~ general charter change election. Councilman Dozier reported the actions and recommendations of the Charter Revision Commission in regards to the problem discussed at the previous meeting of the Council. Councilman Dozier noted that the Charter Revision Commission, by a strong majority, did not favor the changing of the Charter, and that the only recommendation of the Commission was that the issue be presented to the voters. Councilman Bell moved to accept the report of the Charter Revision Commission and to adopt Ordinance No. 1003. The motion was seconded by Councilman Dozier. Councilman Adams stated that he wished to read the proposed ordinance before voting on it. Councilman Gardner stated that he felt the proposal was too extreme and that in his opinion, the charter change proposal would be voted down. The motion to adopt Ordinance No. 1003 passed with Councilman Gardner voting against. Agenda Item No. 2 -- Adjourn. Councilman Dozier moved that the meeting be adjourned. There being no objection, Mayor Holt declared the meeting adjourned. APPROVED Mayor ATTEST _ City Secretary
