MINUTES OF SPECIAL MEETING
April 11, 1968
Members present: Mayor Anderson, Councilmen Holt, Rhodes, Cooley,
Dozier, and Holleman.
On a motion by Councilman Holt, seconded by Councilman Dozier, the
resignation of Councilman Rosprim from the City Council was accepted.
On a motion by Councilman Holleman, seconded by Councilman Dozier,
Ordinance No. 564, an ordinance calling for a special election to fill the
vacancy created by the resignation of Councilman Rosprim, was unanimously
passed and approved.
A rezoning request of Mr. J. C. Culpepper was discussed. Since the
request met with the over-all plan for the city, and in the absence of an
operable planning and zoning commission, the request was approved subject
to a public hearing on the zoning change.
On a motion by Councilman Holleman, seconded by Councilman Holt,
Ordinance No. 565, an ordinance providing for a public hearing on the
question of rezoning the J. C. Culpepper tract of land from District No. 1,
First Dwelling House District, to District No. 3, Apartment House District,
was passed and approved.
The meeting was adjourned subject to call.
