HomeMy WebLinkAbout08/09/1967 - Special Minutes - City CouncilCITY OF COLLEGE STATION COLLEGE STATION, TEXAS SPECIAL MEETING 5 P.M., DST August 9, 1967 Members Present: Councilmen Rhodes, Adams, Cooley, Boyett, Rosprim; City Attorney Dillon; City Manager Boswell. The purpose of this meeting was called to consider the election of a tempo- rary Mayor pro -tem to act as Mayor during the absence of the Mayor and Mayor pro -tem. The City Attorney suggested that Councilman Rhodes act as temporary Chairman. Councilman Rhodes accepted the chairmanship and called for nominations from the floor for a temporary Mayor pro -tem. On motion by Councilman Boyett, seconded by Councilman Rosprim, Coun- cilman Adams was nominated. There being no other nominations, Council- man Boyett moved the nominations cease and that Councilman Adams be elected by acclamation. Councilman Cooley seconded the motion. Motion carried. The meeting was adjourned subject to call.
