Members Present: Mayor Langford; Councilmen Rosprim, Boyett, Holleman, Holt, Rhodes, Orr; City Attorney Sandstedt, City Manager Boswell. Visitors Present: Jose Antonio Castaneda, Jerry J. Crider, Joe A. Ferreri, Elton Jones, George Feagan, and E. M. Rutherford. City Secretary Manning was excused from this meeting. 6' Minutes of meeting of October 26, 1964, were approved. s0 Minutes of joint meeting of city council and Planning and Zoning Commission of November 17, 1964, were approved. K On motion by Councilman Orr, seconded by Councilman Holleman, Ordinance No. 418, an ordinance creating a Joint Airport Zoning Board, was passed and approved ler with the provision that the mayor will appoint the two members of the board after LJ consultation with airport authorities. CL - $5 On motion by Councilman Boyett, seconded by Councilman Rhodes, Ordinance No. 2 41% an ordinance describing the functions, duties, and power of shelter managers, was passed and approved. 0 On motion by Councilman Holt, seconded by Councilman Orr, Ordinance No. 0 /+20, an ordinance changing the name of "Neal Pickett Drive E.11 to "Pickett Lane E." and other requests for street name changes pending before the council, was tabled until such time that the Planning and Zoning Commission may recommend a policy for the council. On motion by Councilman Rhodes, seconded by Councilman Holt, the city attorney was authorized to prepare (1) an ordinance abandoning the following described property; (2) a quit -claim deed to Mr. Read Wipprecht, Beginning at a point in the West Line of Foster Street, said point also being the most Northerly corner of Lot 6, Block 22, of the College Hills Estates addition to the City of College Station, Texas, and said point also being the most Easterly corner of Lot 7, Block 22, of said addition. Thence North 450 East a distance of 10 feet, said line being an extension of the common line between lots 6 and 7. Block 22, of said College Hills Estates addition. Thence South 450 East a distance of T06 f eeti said line being parallel to the West line of Foster Street, to a radius point. Thence in a circular arc with a radius of 25 feet for a dis- tance of 39.33 feet to a radius point, said radius point being on an extension of the North line of Moss Street. Thence South 450 West a distance of 10:f eet to an existing radius point on the South line of said Lot 6, Block 22, College 0 Hills Estates addition. Thence from said existing radius point with the East line of said Lot 6, Block 22, a distance of 145.33 feet to the place of W beginning. Cn �i W CL OW56 S 2 C� 0 0 M On motion by Councilman Holleman, seconded by Councilman Orr, the question of rezoning Lot 3, Block 19, Boyett Addition, from Residential District No. 2 to Apartment House District No. 3, was referred to the Planning and Zoning Commission for its recommendation. On motion by Councilman Holt, seconded by Councilman Orr, City Attorney Sandstedt will be allowed ten (10%) per cent of delinquent street assessment collections as a fee for his services in processing such collections. On motion by Councilman Orr, seconded by Councilman Holt, the State Highway Department was requested to make a study of the traffic flow along Highway 6 within the limits of the city of College Station. The December meeting of the council was set for 5:00 p.m., December 17, 1964. An annual open house was set for 2:00 to 5:00 p.m., December 17, 196/.. The council was adjourned subject to call.
