'9 Members Present: Mayor Langford; Councilmen Boyett, Rosprim, Holt, Rhodes,
Orr, Holleman; City Manager Boswell,
LLI Purpose of the meeting was to review the preliminary budget of the city
for the fiscal year July 1, 1964 -June 30, 1965. After a careful study of all
items, the making of certain adjustments in salary schedules and wages for
hourly employees, upon motion by Councilman Orr, seconded by Councilman
cS Rhodes, the city manager was directed to take all changes into consideration
in preparation of the final budget and to have it ready for a public hearing
ZD at 7:00 p.m., June 15, 1964.
0 In the matter of adjustments in wages for hourly employees, the maximum
CM hourly rate was fixed at $1.50 with instruction to the city manager that the
application of this rate be at his discretion and solely on a basis of merit.
This rate does not apply to technical or professional employees who are paid
on an hourly basis.
The council adjourned subject to call.
