MINUTES OF REGULAR MEETING
October 28, 1963
Members Present: Mayor Langford; Councilmen Orr, Rosprim, Boyett, Landiss,
Rhodes, Sorrals; City Secretary Manning, City Attorney
Sandstedt, City Manager Boswell.
Visitors Present: Randy Waligura, Dan 0. Sumpter, Harry B. Jewett, Mike
L. McNeill.
Minutes of previous meeting were approved.
On motion by Councilman Sorrels, seconded by Councilman Orr, the
recommendation of the Planning and Zoning Commission concerning certain
areas to be rezoned was accepted.
On motion by Councilman Orr, seconded by Councilman Boyett, Ordinance
No. 381, an ordinance proposing to rezone certain areas within the city
limits from District No. 1, First Dwelling House District to District No.
3, Apartment House District and calling for a public hearing at 7:00 p.m.
on November 25, was passed and approved.
On motion by Councilman Sorrels, seconded by Councilman Orr, the mayor
and city manager were authorized to negotiate with Homer Hunter Associates
of Dallas in regard to having a study made of the city's water system.
The city attorney was authorized to prepare an ordinance to regulate
the dogs and other animals running at large in the city.
The council adjourned subject to call.
