V) On motion by Councilman Anderson, seconded by Councilman Rosprim, the
(¢ mayor was authorized to renew $35,000. note at the College Station State Bank.

dS On motion by Councilman Landiss, seconded by Councilman Anderson, the
low bid of $12,989.90 by General Electric on electrical supplies was accepted.

X On motion by Councilman Orr, seconded by Councilman Landiss, the audit
0 report submitted by Durst and Wood for the fiscal year ending June 30, 1962,
O[9 was approved and accepted.
At the last regular meeting the mayor was authorized to appoint a
committee for the purpose of determining the needs for a city office building,
fire station, auditorium and water tower. The following were recommended for
the committee: K. A. Manning, W. G. Wagner, Charles Pinnell, Henry D. Smith,
J. L. Sandstedt, F. R. Brison, Chairman. On motion by Councilman Sorrels,
seconded by Councilman Anderson, the committee was accepted as recommended
by the mayor.
On motion by Councilman Orr, seconded by Councilman Rosprim, the salary
of the city judge was increased $25.00 per month beginning January 1, 1963,
continuing at that rate throughout the rest of the fiscal year.
January 21, 1963, was set as the date for the next meeting of the committee
to work with the council on charter revisions.
® Councilman Anderson requested that it be made clear that his vote of no
on the question of the request of Mr. J. C. Culpepper to erect a sign
advertising Carter's Grove Subdivision was against the size of the sign and
P1 not the request itself.
On motion by Councilman Landiss, seconded by Councilman Anderson, the
new map of the city was approved and adopted as the official map of the City
W of College Station as of this date,
