0 On motion by Councilman Orr, seconded by Councilman Rosprim, Council -
0 man Anderson's and City Secretary Manning's requests that they be excused
M from this meeting were granted. The vote on the motion was unanimous.
Mr. Frank W. Sheppard appeared before the council and reported on the
work of the Brazos County Youth Counseling Service. He closed his summary
by asking for continued support from the City of College Station.
On motion by Councilman Orr, seconded by Councilman Sorrels, Ordinance
No. 343, an ordinance approving and adopting plans and specifications for
improvement of certain portions of Fairview Avenue in the City of College
Station, Texas, and directing advertisement of bids for such improvements,
and declaring an emergency, was passed and approved.
On motion by Councilman Landiss, seconded by Councilman Sorrels, the
city manager was authorized to employ Durst and Wood, accountants, to
audit the affairs of the city for the fiscal year ending June 30, 1962.
On motion by Councilman Landiss, seconded by Councilman Boyett, the
® dates of the regular meetings during the summer months were set for June
15, July 20, and August 17. The vote on the motion was unanimous.
Now On motion by Councilman Orr, seconded by Councilman Sorrels, the city
attorney was authorized to prepare an ordinance changing the names of the
east portion of Dexter Drive S and South Dexter Drive S to Dexter Drive S.
The vote on the motion was unanimous.

for delinquent
taxes. He also

reported that it is legal to condem land at
the present time for city
