C. Culpepper, O. W. Couch Councilman Anderson's request that he be excused from this meeting was granted. ® Minutes of the October 23rd meeting were approved. On motion by Councilman Orr, seconded by Councilman Landiss, the auditor's report by Durst and Wood for the fiscal year ending June 30, 1961, was approved `a and accepted. Mr. O. W. Couch of the Greyhound Bus Lines appeared before the council WI to discuss loading and unloading facilities for passengers within the city < of College Station. Mr. Couch advised the council that such facilities would ' CL to provided in the U -Tote -Em grocery store on Walton Drive, said facilities to be open from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. The city will co-operate to the extent of installing a street light near the stop and asking the Southwestern States Telephone Company to install a public telephone booth nearby. ® On motion by Councilman Sorrels, seconded by Councilman Orr, Mr. Frank m E. Whitson of the Division of Architecture is to be employed to make studies in connection with a proposed new city building in block 9, College Hills Estates and to be paid $250.00 for his services. On motion by Councilman Landiss, seconded by Councilman Sorrels, December 18th was set as the date 6f!,th6 next regular meeting. December 15th was set as the date for the annual Christmas open house. On motion by Councilman Sorrels, seconded by Councilman Orr, the mayor was authorized to appoint a charter revision committee. On motion by Councilman Orr, seconded by Councilman Landiss, Ordinance No. 269, an ordinance receiving certain territory into the city limits, was passed to the second reading and a public hearing thereon set for 5 p.m., Friday, December 22nd. Cb CL' 0 0 m 4 W d W D 0 0 m On motion by Councilman Orr, seconded by the mayor after having yielded the chair to the.mayor pro -tem, the city engineer was authorized to proceed with the laying out of a street in Culpepper Plaza, said street to begin at FM 60 at a point opposite Spence Street and to extend generally northward and curve into Hwy 308, with provision for an intersection with Church Street extended, such extension to lie wholly south of the Boyett property, The street in question to be constructed and paid for by Mr. J. C. Culpepper. On motion by Councilman Orr, seconded by Councilman Boyett, the mayor was authorized to appoint a committee to confer with Mr. E, M. White relative to negotiating a price for the sale by Mr. White to the city of lot 13, block 9, College Hills Estates.
