Scales, Carlos 101 S. Worley, Robert A. Nichols, Lawrence F. Bolin, Don Jones, Albert W. Hoyt, Donald K, Henderson; M. R. Calli- ham; W. D. Fitch; representative from Bryan Daily Eagle Minutes of the September 25th meeting, the October 2nd meeting, and the October 5th meeting were approved. On motion by Councilman Boyett, seconded by Councilman Anderson, City Manager Boswell was authorized to make payment of $2,000. to W. C. Hall for Lot 18 Block 9 College Hills. 4yJ On motion by Councilman Landiss, seconded by Councilman Boyett, City manager Boswell and City Engineer Fred Benson were given permission to attend the International City Managers Conference in Miami Beach, Florida, November 26 -- 29, and to be reimbursed for expenses in connection therewith. On motion by Councilman Landiss, seconded by Councilman Boyett, Ordinance No, 327, an ordinance directing the preparation of plans and specifications for the paving and improvement of certain portions of Glade Street and assess- ing the owners of abutting property all costs of gutters and curbs, plus nine - tenths (9/10) of the remaining costs, was passed and approved. On motion by Councilman Landiss, seconded by Councilman Anderson, Ordinance No, 328, an ordinance directing the preparation of plans and specifications for the paving and improvement of certain portions of Glade and Orr Streets and assessing the owners of abutting property three dollars ($3.00) per front foot, was passed and approved. The city attorney was directed to prepare ordinances approving the plans and specifications for the improvements described in these ordinances. A special meeting of the council was set for 5 p.m., Friday, October 27, 1961, to discuss and pass the ordinance*, On motion by Councilman Sorrels, seconded by Councilman Landiss, the mayor and city manager were directed to discuss with Mr. Thames, District State Highway Engineer the placing of reflectors in the islands on Highway 6. The mayor and city manager were directed to confer with representatives aof the Greyhound Bus Lines concerning the installation of proper loading and unloading areas within the city of College Station. 00"755 `y Dr, M. R. Calliham appeared before the council regarding the paving of Anderson Street, The city manager was directed to prepare cost data on said street. The meeting was adjourned subject to call.
