HomeMy WebLinkAbout03/16/1961 - Special Minutes - City CouncilMINUTES OF SPECIAL MEETING March 16, 1961 Members present: Mayor Pro -Tem Orr, Councilmen Landiss and Boyett; City Manager Boswell; City Secretary Manning Visitors present: County Judge Davis, County Commissioner Dunn, Nolen, Stasney, Porterfield Mayor Pro -Tem Orr gave preliminary remarks on the underpass and asked the Commissioners Court for help in securing right-of-way. Mr. Orr stated that the approximate cost would be in the amount of $82,000.00 for the purchase of the right-of-way. Judge Davis stated the cost to Brazos County would be in the amount of $6,000.00 for making adjustments in utilities. After general discussion it was agreed by the members of the Commissioners Court that if a reasonable value could be arrived at on the purchase of right-of-way that Brazos County would participate in the cost in the amount of one fourth, and that the amount would be paid over a period of five years.
