Workshop City Council Meeting
Wednesday, April 8, 1981

A~enda Item No. 1 - Council Concerns.
Anne Bell invited the Council to the ceremonies of the Brazos de Dios Day.
Agenda Item No. 2 - Consideration of a resolution concernin~ ballot serial
number for joint City/School Election.
City Secretary/Tax Assessor Collector Schroeder presented and explained the
requirement for the resolution.
Councilman Dozier moved to adopt resolution 4-8-81-2.
Councilman Jones seconded the motion which passed unanimously.
A~enda Item No. 3 - Canvassin$ of election returns.
City Secretary/Tax Assessor Collector Schroeder reviewed the final outcome
of the election results, which were covered in resolution 4-8-81-3.
The recount on the election changed Jim Gardner's votes from 1297 to 1298.
Councilman Boughton moved to adopt resolution 4-8-81-3.
Councilman Dozier seconded the motion which passed unanimously.
Agenda Item No. 4 - Consideration of results of bond election.
David Fetzer presented and explained the ordinance on the bond election to the
council.
Councilman Dozier moved to pass the ordinance.
Councilman Boughton seconded the motion which passed unanimously.
This created Ordinance No. 1282.
Asenda Item No. 5 - Swearin~ in of new Council mmmbers.
City Secretary/Tax Assessor Collector Schroeder swore in Alvin Prause, Councilman,

Place I, Larry Ringer, Councilman, Place 3, and Tony Jones, Councilman Place 5.
Mayor Pro-tem Ringer presented a badge to Councilman Prause.
Mayor Halter joined the meeting.
Agenda Item No. 6 - Discussion of plans for Community Center.
Emmett Trant presented and explained their plans for the Community Center.
He stated that they will be taking bids until April 30, 1981.
Several Council members brought up questions concerning the material being
used on the building.
Agenda Item No. 7 - Adjourn.
Mayor Pro-tem Ringer adjourned the meeting.
