SPECIAL CITY COUNCIL MEETING
Wednesday, April 15, 1981
4:00 P.M.

Mayor Halter, Councilman Ringer, Boughton, Dozier,
Jones, mrause
Councilman Runnels
Tax Assessor-Collector/City Secretary Schroeder, City
Engineer Ash, City Manager Bardell, City Planner Mayo,
City Attorney Denton
VISITORS PRESENT: See guest register
Agenda Item No. 1 - Council Concerns.
Councilman Ringer stated that the old City Hall storage needed to be cleaned up.
Councilman Dozier asked City Manager Bardell if the meter had been fixed at his
neighbors' house. The problem he had with it leaking had stopped.
Councilman Jones asked if the fencing that is being removed from the Thomas Park
is going to be used by the little league.
Several Councilmen discussed the parking lots for the city parks.
Mayor Halter suggested creating a committee to study various problems that the
handicapped are confronted with in the city.
These people were suggested to serve:
1. Jim Thompson 4. Charles Powell
2. Mimi Sicilio 5. Pat Maher
3. Bonnie Brown
City Manager Bardell stated that the Student Government Liaison Herring had
invited the council members to a Student Government dinner.
Agenda Item No. 2 - Closed session to discuss personnel [6252-17(2)] and land
acquisitions [6252-17(f)].
The Council moved to closed session and later opened to the public.
Agenda Item No. 3 - Action on closed session.
There was no action taken.
