MEMBERS PRESENT: Councilmen Ringer, Jones, Kelly, Boughton, City Secretary Schroeder, City Engineer Ash, City Planner Mayo, Energy Coordinator Albrecht. MEMBERS ABSENT: Mayor Halter, Councilmen Dozier and Runnels. VISITORS PRESENT: See guest register. A~enda Item No. 1-Council Concerns. Councilman Kelly requested that Mr. J.W. Wood explain his rezoning application of the 7 tracts of land being portions of a 124.53 acre tract generally located north of University Drive and east of Tarrow Street and Fed Mart Drive. Mr. Wood presented his rezoning request and explained that tracts 2,3, and 6 had been denied by the P&Z. He answered questions of the Council and stated that Ramiro Galindo, partner ~n this project, was present to answer questions. Agende Item No. 2-Discussion of Ordinance Codification project. City Secretary Schroeder presented and explained the Ordinance which adopts the Code. He explained the changes presented in the Code and answered questions of the City Council. Agenda Item No. 3-Discussion of late hours for eating and drinking establishments. Robert Todd of Culpepper Properties, representin several club in College Station, requested the Clubs be allowed to stay open until 2:00A.M. every night in order to increase their income. Steve Grahm of 904 University Oaks #49 spoke in favor of the 2:00 A.M. extension. He felt this extension would prevent a large number of people leaving the clubs at one time. He also felt the city would receive more money from liquor taxes. Mr. Dallis of the Electric Cowboy spoke in favor of the late hours extension. He mentioned the problem of getting customers to leave at 12:00, midnight. The Council decided to schedule consideration of the late hours extension to be on the February 26th regular meeting agenda. They felt they needed time for the city staff and Police Department to research this matter. They requested that James Bundren, of th~ Liquor Control ~oard, be present at the meeting.
