RESOLUTION NO. 03-25-82-16
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING
APPLICATION FOR GRANT TO IMP~,FA{ENT A CRI~, PREVENTION PROGRAM
the dynmmic Erowth of the City of College Station in recent
years has not bccn without attendant problems pertaining to
Crimes AEainst Persons and Crimes AEainst Property; and,
the Criminal Justice Division, Office of the Governor, has
assisted the City of College Station in establishing a crime
prevention proEr~n within the Police Department to cope with
the attendant rise in crimes a~ainst property and persons, and,
a need continues in the Police Department for a specially trained
crime prevention to instruct the citizens of College Station
through seminars, security surveys, me~ns and ways they can
employ to lesson their changes from becoming a victim of one
of theso crimes.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY ~tE CITY OOUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COI.T.WGE
STATION, TEXAS, at its meeting on the 25th day of Nzrch, 1982, that:
The Nayor/City MmnaEer be authorized on behalf of the City
Council to m~ke application to the Criminal Justice Division,
Office of the Governor, for a ~rant of $5,527.00 support the
implementation of the Crime Prevention ProEram with the purchase
of equipment.
2. The Nayor/City Nan~er be authorized on behalf of the City
Council to accept such grant award should it be tendered.
3. This Resolution becomes effective upon adoption and its
recording in the Minutes of the City Council is ordered.
