A RESOLUTION SUPPORTING ~tE CLEAN ~ITY SYSTt~ AS DEVELOPt~ BY
IfERD AMERICA BEAUTIFUL, INC., AND ENDORSING THE CLF,~I CITY (X)N~ITrEE
WHEREAS, the City of College Station jointly with the City of Bryan
and Brazos County, desires to in,prove their physical quality
of coanmnity life; and
WHEREAS, the expense of collecting and disposing of loose refuse is
an ever-increasing well-being of our citizens; and
WHEREAS, a clean environment contributes to the emotional, physical
and economic well-being of our citizens; and
WHEREAS, the Clean Ccmmmity System, developed by Keep America
Beautiful, Inc., will assist greatly in reducing the improper
handling of waste in our city, and thereby rednce litter;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
COT.~.~GE STATION that the City Council hereby endorses the
Bryan/College Statio~ Clean C~mnnity System, and supports the
participation of the City of College Station in the System; and
FURTHER, in keeping with the design of the Clean Ommmmity System,
the City Council of the City of College Station hereby recognizes
the Bryan/College Station Clean Ccammnity System.
This Resolution shall be in full force and effective from and
after its adoption.
