SPECIAL CITY COUNCIL MEETING
MONDAY, APRIL 25, 1983

~genda Item No. 1 - Closed session to discuss peqd~n~ litigation
[6252-17(e)] and land acquisition-~6252-17(f)].
The council moved to closed session and later reopened to the public.
Agenda Item No. 2 - Action on closed session.
Councilman Boughton moved to approved Resolution No. 4-25-83-2 authorizing
the City Manager to expend up to Eighty Thousand Dollars ($80,000.00) to
study participation in a joint municipal power agency, and either in
connection therewith or independently to study alternative source of
electrical power supply, including but not limited to new non-steam
generation facilities, and the preliminary preparation of feasibility and
license applications therefor, provided that the actions taken shall not be
inconsistent with the City's obligations under the existing requirements
contracts with Gulf State Utilities, subject to any negotiated
modifications thereof.
Councilman McIlhaney seconded the motion which passed unanimously.

Mayor Halter adjourned the meeting.
