~ ORDINANCE RECEIVING CERTAIN TERRITORY ADJOINING THE CITY
LIMITS OF THE CITY OF COLLEGE STATION, TEXAS.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLLEGE
STATION, TEXAS:
WHEREAS, the Planning and Zoning Commission held a public hearing
at City Hall at 7200 P.M. on September 1, 1983, and the City
Council has held a public hearing in the City Hall at 7:00 P.M.
on September 8, 1983, on the question of receiving certain
territory into the city limits; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has heard all parties pertaining
thereto, and has determined the following;
That upon compliance with Article II, Section 7, of the City
Charter and applicable laws of the State of Texas, the following
territory shall be incorporated within the city limits:
TRACT i
(R. Stevenson Survey)
Being all of approximately 358 acres of land located in
the R. Stevenson Survey A-54, comprised of seventeen
(17) tracts more fully described as follows, save and
except that portion of land proposed in the
right-of-way taking for State Department of Highways
and Public Transportation Project Number 8017-1-25,
I.P.E. Number 069 and 294, according to right-of-way
plat maps on f~le in the College Station City
Engineer's Office which are incorporated herein by
reference:

Being all of a 3.5 acre tract recorded in Volume 436,
Page 363, of the Deed Records of Brazos County, Texas.
Tract 2
Being all of a 0.5 acre tract recorded in Volume 590,
Page 227, of the Deed Records of Brazos County, Texas.
Tract 3
Being all of a 43.64 acre tract recorded ~n Volume 590,
Page 227, of the Deed Records of Brazos County, Texas.
Tract 4
Being all of a 6.65 acre tract recorded in Volume 487,

Being all of a 5.0 acre tract or parcel of land lying
and being situated in the Robert Stevenson League in
Brazos County, Texas, more particularly described in
the description attached hereto and marked Exhibit "B".

Beginning at the southerly most corner of the Thomas
Caruthers Survey A-9, said corner also being the most
easterly corner of the Robert Stevenson Survey A-54,
said corner lying 1n the most northwesterly line of the
S.W. Robertson Survey A-202.
Thence in a northeasterly direction along the common
line between the S.W. Robertson Survey A-202 and the
Thomas Caruthers Survey A-9 approximately four thousand
feet (4000') to a point for a corner, said corner being
the most southerly corner of a 119.53 acre tract
recorded in Volume 335, Page 131, of the Deed Records
of Brazos County, Texas.
Thence in a northwesterly direction along the southwest
property line of the aforementioned 119.53 acre tract,
five hundred feet (500') to a point for a corner.
Thence in a southwesterly direction five hundred feet
(500') northwest of and parallel to the common line
between the S.W. Robertson Survey A-202 and the Thomas
Caruthers Survey A-9 to a point for a corner, said
point lying in the common line between the Thomas
Caruthers Survey A-9 and the Robert Stevenson Survey
A-54.
Thence ~n a southeasterly dzrection along the common
line between the Thomas Caruthers Survey A-9 and the
Robert Stevenson Survey A-54, five hundred feet (500')
to the POINT OF BEGINNING, containing 47 acres more or

Attached to and ~ncorporated herein as a part of this Ordinance
is a service plan, marked Exhibit "A", providing for the
extension of municipal services into the duly described
territory, sazd plan having been presented at the public hearing
heretofore named and subsequently approved by the city council of
the City of College Station, Texas.

SERVICE PLAN
TO Whom It May Concern:
This document addresses the extension of Municipal Services
within a 358 acre tract located in the Robert Stevenson League
and a 47 acre tract located in the Thomas Caruthers Survey to and
south of the current city limits and as described more fully in
the ordinance of annexation.
The City Council of the City of College Station, by action on
Octoh~ 1~; I~RR, and prior to the passage of the ordinance of
annexation of the above-named tract, did approve Resolution No.
1O_iR_R~_O4 , entitled A RESOLUTION ADOPTING A PLAN OF
SERVICE FOR ANNEXATION OF 2580 ACRES ALONG STATE HIGHWAY 6 TO THE
SOUTH OF THE CITY OF COLLEGE STATION, TEXAS. Said Resolution,
duly recorded [n the official MINUTES RECORDS of the City of
College Station and available for viewing in the office of the
City Secretary, provides for the extension of municipal services
into this area, as prescribed by the provislons of Article 970a,
Vernon's Texas Civil Statutes, as amended by HB-1952.
