HomeMy WebLinkAbout1983-1447 - Ordinance - 09/08/1983ORDINANCE NO. 1447 AN ORDINANCE REZONING A 2.50 ACRE TRACT OR PARCEL OF LAND LYING AND BEING SITUATED IN LOT SIXTEEN (16), LAKEVIEW ACRES, COLLEGE STATION, TEXAS, A SUBDIVISION AS SHOWN ON PLAT RECORDED IN VOLUNE 128, PAGE 300 OF THE DEED RECORDS OF BRAZOS COUNTY, TEXAS, AND ALSO BEING THE SANE PROPERTY CONVEYED TO L.F.BOUSE, ET UX, BY DEED RECORDED IN VOLUNE 262, PAGE 640, OF THE DEED RECORDS OF BRAZOS COUNTY, TEXAS, AND BEING NORE FULLY DESCRIBED BY NETES AND BOUNDS IN THE BODY OF THIS ORDINANCE FRON R-1 SINGLE FANILY RESIDENTIAL TO AONINISTRATIVE-PROFESSIONAL DISTRICT A-P. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLLEGE STATION, TEXAS: WHEREAS, the City Council held a public hearing in the City Hall at 7:00 P.M. on Sep=ember 8, 1983 on the question of rezoning certain areas within the city limits; AND, WHEREAS, the City Council has determined the following: To rezone or change the classification of the following tract of land lying and being situated in Lot Sixteen (16), LAKEVlEW ACRES, College Station, Texas, a subdivision as shown on plat recorded in Volume 128, Page 300 of the Oeed Records of Brazos County, Texas, and also being the same property conveyed to L.F.Bouse, et ux, by deed recorded in Volume 262, Page 640 of the Deed Records of Brazos County, Texas, said 2.50 acre tract being more particularly described by metes and bounds as follows: BEGINNING at an iron rod found marking the south corner of the aforesaid Lot 16, said iron rod also lying on the northeast Right-of-way line of Texas Avenue; THENCE N 45000'00" E with the southeast property line of the aforesaid Lot 16 for a distance of 467.98 feet to a fence post for corner, said fence post marking the east corner of the aforesaid Lot 16; THENCE N 45027'49" W with the northeast property line of the aforesaid Lot 16 for a distance of 232.38 feet to a fence post for corner; THENCE S 45°O3'36' W across aforesaid Lot 16 for a distance of 466.61 feet to an iron rod for corner, said iron rod also lying on the northeast Right-of-way line of Texas Avenue: THENCE S 45°07~36" E with the abovesaid Right-of-way line for a distance of 232.86 feet to the PLACE OF BEGINNING and ~ontaining 2.50 acres of land more or less as surveyed in January, 1979 by Jerry Bishop, Registered Professional Engineer No. 37426, and being the same property described in Deed from Louis Frederick Bouse, et ux to Everett F. Treadway, et ux, dated February ]3, 1979, recorded in Volume 418, page 33, Deed Records of Brazos County, Texas, from Single Family Residential District R-1 to Admlnlstrative-Professional District A-P. And, it is ordained that said changes shall become effective iranediately. PASSED AND APPROVED THIS 8th day of September ,1983.
