WHEREAS, there came to be considered the returns of a combined
city/school election held on the 6th day of April, 1
at which the submission of a proposition to the
electorate of the City of College Station was made,
WHEREAS, in accordance with the provisions of Article 1019 and
the Charter of the City of College Station, the City
Council of the City of College Station had determined
that the following question should be voted upon by
the duly qualified resident electors within said city,
to wit:
SHALL THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLLEGE STATION
AUTHORIZED TO SELL PECAN TREE PARK DESCRIBED BY PLAT
FILED OF RECORD IN VOLUME 390, PAGE 287,OF THE DEED
RECORDS OF BRAZOS COUNTY, TEXAS, AND BEING AP~
A ONE-HALF ACRES TRACT OF UNDEVELOPED LAND.
and, upon the ballot, the following question was
printed, which was abbreviated to the extent necessary:
PROPOSITION NO. 1
FOR
AGAINST
The sale of Pecan Tree Park,
an undeveloped tract of
approximately one-half acres.
WHEREAS, it appears from said return of said election, duly and
legally made, that there were cast at said combined
election 3,310 valid and legal ballots;
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
COLLEGE STATION, TEXAS,
That the Proposition No. 1, For or Against the sale of Pecan
Tree Park, received the following number of votes in
said election:
FOR THE SALE OF PECAN TREE PARK
(City Voting Precinct No. 8, 143; No. 9, 231; No. 10,
212; No. 35 (210,21), 43; No. 24, 195; No. 31, 191; No.
32, 251; No. 33, 30; No. 34, 84; Absentee, 158)

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF COLLEGE STATION, TEXAS,
That said election was duly called; that notice of said
election was given in accordance with law, and that said elec-
tion was held in accordance with law, and that the qualified
voters of the City of College Station have acted to authorize,
and do authorize, the City Council of the City of College
Station to sell Pecan Tree Park, in accordance with the laws
of the State of Texas and the City Charter of the City of
College Station.
