SPECIAL CITY COUNCIL MEETING
TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 19, 1985

A~enda Item No. 1 - Closed session to discuss pendin~ litigation

The Council moved to closed session and later reopened to the
public.
Councilman Prause left the meeting during closed session.
A~enda Item No. 2 - Action on closed session.
Councilman Boughton moved approval of Resolution No. 02-19-85-02
authorizing the City Manager to investigate the possibility of
Lone Star Municipal Power Agency purchasing power from Gulf
States Utilities with the following provisions and limitations:
(1) the inclusion of a buy back provision for the utility
substations and a guarantee of maintenance; (2) exclusion of any
"take or pay" provisions in the contract; and (3) approval by
Council of all projects between Lone Star Municipal Power Agency
and the City of College Station.
Councilman Runnels seconded the motion which was approved unani-
mously, 4-0, with Councilman Prause absent from the room.

Mayor Halter adjourned the meeting at 6:15 P.M.
