A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO AND EXE-
CUTE A CONTRACT WITH TEXAS SPEEDWAY, LIMITED PARTNERSHIP,
FOR THE BULK SALE AND PURCHASE OF WATER.
WHEREAS, the City of College Station owns and operates a
water distribution system with a capacity currently capable
i-~.~ of serving the present customers of the City system and the
estimated number of water users to be served by the City in
the future and with additional capacity to meet traditional
,,,..i...-~ consumption demand by Texas Speedway Limited, Partnership;
~ and
~ WHEREAS, Texas Speedway, Limited Partnership, has purchased
.,,!!~ water from the City of College Station since 1969 and de-
~""'"" ~ sires to enter into a new contract for the purchase of
.{ ~4' water until 1992;
~! NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED By the City Council of the ....
-'-- City of College Station, exercised by the passage of this
~.'~ resolution dated November 12, 1987, that the Mayor is au-
~-~_~ thorized to enter into an agreement with Texas Speedway,
.... ..~ Limited Partnership, for the bulk sale and purchase of
.. . water.
