HomeMy WebLinkAbout03-10-88-09 - Resolution - 03/10/1988~- RESOLUTION NO. 03-10-88-09 ~ ~ A RESOLUTION PROVIDING FOR EXEMPTION OF CERTAIN VEHICLES ~ ~ FROM REQUIREMENTS OF ARTICLE 6701M-2, V.T.C.S., ~ ~ IDENTIFICATION OF CITY AND COUNTY-OWNED VEHICLES AND HEAVY WHEREAS, Article 6701m-2, V.T.C.S. that requires identification of city and county-owned vehicles and heavy equipment, further provides for exemption of certain vehicles when used for the purpose of performing official duties; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLLEGE STATION, TEXAS: Section 1. In accordance with provisions of Article 6701m-2, V.T.C.S. City vehicles used for the purpose of performing official duties by the College Station Police Department are hereby exempted under identification requirements for unmarked vehicles. Section 2. The following persons are hereby authorized to submit applications for special license plates to the State Department of Highways and Public Transportation on behalf of the City: Virginia McCartney, Purchasing Agent James Polasek, Buyer PASSED AND APPROVED this lOth day of March, 1988, at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of College Station, Texas.
