A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLLEGE
STATION SUPPORTING AND OPPOSING PROPOSED LEGISLATION IN THE
71ST LEGISLATIVE SESSION.
WHEREAS, the Council reviewed and considered H.B. No. 458,
S.B. No. 120, H.B. No. 27, H.B. No. 1193, H.B. No. 359,
H.B. No. 1173, H.B. No. 1163, H.B. No. 43, H.B. No. 1009,
H.B. No. 2958, H.B. No. 2172, H.B. No. 2173, H.B. No. 1567,
S.B. No. 610, H.B. No. 1642, H.B. No. 2265, H.B. No. 2617,
H.J.R. No. 2, and S.J.R. No. 14, and found that it is in
support of such proposed legislation; and
WHEREAS, the Council reviewed and considered H.B. No. 1352,
H.B. No. 1538, H.B. No. 720, H.B. No. 2998, H.B. No. 2864,
H.B. No. 1732, H.B. No. 1143, H.B. No. 2297, H.B. No. 1024,
H.B. No. 1531, H.B. No. 1925, H.B. No. 1823, H.B. No. 2655,
H.B. No. 1611, S.B. No. 1540, H.B. No. 1276, S.B. No. 764,
and S.B. No. 1476, and found that it is opposed to such
legislation.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED By the City Council of the
City of College Station that the City Council hereby
expresses its support and opposition to the above-listed
bills as specified above, and directs its efforts in
response to the proposed legislation.
PASSED and APPROVED this 27th day of April, 1989.
