~. 6th day of May, 1989 for the purpose of

(/i Station City Council and two trustees to the
CSISD Board of Trustees, and
.:q,,. ';,..~, WHEREAS, it appears from said returns, duly and legally
~. made that a total of 928 valid ballots were
~ ~ cast at said combined election
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF COLLEGE STATION, TEXAS,
That each of the candidates for the place of councilman,
City of College Station, received the following
number of votes in said election:

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL FOR
THE CITY OF COLLEGE STATION, TEXAS,
That said election was duly called, that notice of
said election was given in accordance with law; that said
election was held in accordance with law; and that Larry
J. Ringer, Mayor, is hereby authorized to sign the
statement of Canvass of General Election, which shall be
attached to and become a Dart of this Resolution and a
copy of which shall be retained by the custodian of the
election records, and
That Fred Brown was duly elected to City Council
Place l; that Lynn McIlhaney was duly elected to City
Council Place No. 3; and that Jim Gardner was duly
elected to City Council Place No. 5.
Said above-named parties are hereby declared duly elected
to said respective offices, subject to the taking of
their oaths of office as provided by the laws of the
State of Texas and the Charter of the City of College
Station.

CANVASS OF GENERAL ELECTION
I, Larry J. Ringer, Mayor of College Station, Texas, met
with the City Council sitting as the canvassing board to
canvass the general election of May 6, 1989, on May 10,
1989 at College Station, Texas.
I certify that the figures on the tally sheets correspond
with the figures on the returns.
