A RESOLUTION AMENDING THE PERSONNEL POLICY MANUAL SEC-
TION A, SUBSECTION V(D), WITH REGARD TO THE GROUP
HEALTH PLAN, AND AMENDING SECTION A, SUBSECTION V(G),
WITH REGARD TO RETIREMENT, AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFEC-
TIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City Council met on the 13th day of
September, 1990, to consider proposed changes to the
Personnel Policy Manual, Section A, Policies.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of College Station that the Personnel Policy
Manual, Section A, Policies, shall be amended as
follows:
Subsection V-D, Group Health Plan, (1) Medical & Dental
Insurance, shall be amended by deleting the first para-
graph thereof and inserting the following:
"The City provides medical and dental insur-
ance to eligible City employees at no cost to
the employee. After three months of continu-
ous employment, all eligible employees will
be covered by the insurance plan. Service
Retirees may continue to be covered after re-
tirement at their own expense until age 65."
II.
Subsection V-G, Retirement, shall be amended by insert-
ing the following paragraph at the end of the section
to read:
"An employee who is approved for Occupational
Disability Retirement through the Texas Mu-
nicipal Retirement System medical board, is
not considered a "service" retiree. These
employees do have the option of converting to
COBRA insurance coverage, which is at their
own expense, for a period of 18-36 months
after their Occupational Disability Retire-
ment effective date."

force and effect for all employees who retire after
December 31, 1990.
