HomeMy WebLinkAbout05-09-90-2.3 - Resolution - 05/09/1990RESOLUTION NO. 5-9-90-2.3 A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE A SANI- TARY SEWER SYSTEM AGREEMENT WITH L.W. MAAS. WHEREAS, on the 14th day of January, 1988, the city Council approved Ordinance 1735 which established a Sanitary Sewer Master Plan for the Foxfire and Sand- stone areas; and WHEREAS, Mr. Maas has requested sanitary sewer service from the City, and with one exception has agreed to comply with the master plan. This exception being the extension of the sewer main along the northeast bound- ary of his property to serve 1505 Foxfire Drive. This property is currently being served through a different line. WHEREAS, the City Council reviewed the proposed Sani- tary Sewer Service Agreement and determined that execu- tion of the agreement would be in the best interest of the City; NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by The City Council of the City of College Station that the Mayor is hereby authorized to execute the Sanitary Sewer Service Agree- ment attached hereto between L.W. Maas and the City of College Station. PASSED, ADOPTED and APPROVED this the day of May , 1990. 9th APPROVED: City Secretary ' -i 007844 WHEREAS, RESOLUTION NO. 05-09-90-0~ there came to be considered the returns of a combined city/school election to be held on the 5th day of May 1990, for the purpose of electing a Mayor, three councilmembers to the College Station city Council and two trustees to the CSISD board of Trustees, and WHEREAS, it appears from said returns, duly and legally made that a total of 2280 valid ballots were cast at said combined election. Total Against 861 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL FOR THE CITY OF COLLEGE STATION, TEXAS, That said election was duly called, that notice of election was given in accordance with law; that said election held in accordance with law; and that Larry J. Ringer, Mayor, hereby authorized to sign the statement of Canvass of Election, which shall be attached to and become a part of Resolution and a copy of which shall be retained by the of the election records, and That Larry J. Ringer was duly elected to Mayor; that Birdwell was duly elected to City Council Place No. 2; Vernon Schneider was duly elected to City Council Place No. 4;I and that Nancy Crouch was duly elected to City Council Place No.' 6. 46 Said above-named parties are hereby declared duly elected to respective offices, subject to the taking of their oaths of office as provided by the laws of the State of Texas and the Charter of the City of College Station. said PASSED AND APPROVED THIS THE 9th ATTEST: Connie Hooks, City Secretary DAY OF MAY, 1990.
