HomeMy WebLinkAbout11/13/1950 - Regular Minutes - City CouncilREGULAR CITY COMICIL PEETING November 13, 1950 The Council met in regular session at 7:30 p.m. November 13, 1950, with the following members present: Mayor Langford; Councilmen Badgettq Fitch, Halpin, Orr; City Manager Rogers, City Attorney Barger; City Secretary McGinnis. On motion by Halpin, seconded by Orr, Ordinance No. 150, relative to change in electric rates was approved and ordered to became effective with the December I billings. On motion by Bdgett, seconded by Halpin, the following Campus Security Patrolmen were deputized as Deputy City h[arshalls: W. L. Goodloe, R. P. Batten, Tyurman Maxwell, Ernest Sims, Olan Armstrong, E. B. Metzer, Morris Maddox, Ray Rosier, C. E. Bolton, L. L. Sweat, A. R. Ward, and the City Manager was authorized to prepare their commissions and to issue them Rs the men qualify for office. On motion by Fitch, seconded by Bddgett, the City "anager was authorized to pay Mrs. F. W. Hensel $12.50 for work in connection with the preparation of the report of Mr. F. C. Bolton. On motion by Orr, seconded by Fitch, the City Manager was authorized and directed to publish immediately in the -three local newspapers a list of the delinquent taxes as of November 1, 1950. On Motion by Orr, seconded bv Badgett, the City Manager was authorized to confer with Attorney W. T. McDonald of Bryan relative to his undertaking the collection of delinauent taxes.
