NOTICE IS HMEBY GIVE1 that a special meeting of the City
Council of the City of College Strtion will be held on the 27th day
of February, 1950 at the City Hall in said city at 3:30 pm for -the
purpose of passing on matters as follows:
1. Discussion of utility extensions
2. Repealing of emergency Ordinance No. 111

CONSENT TO MELTING
We, the undersigned members of the City Council and the City
Attorney of the City of College Station, hereby accept service of the
foregoing notice, waiving any and all irregularities in such notice and.
consent and agree that said City Council shall meet at the time and

MINUTES OF SPECIAL MEETING
February 27, 1950
Members present: Mayor Langford; Councilmen Ames, Badgett,
Halpin, Orr; City Secretary McGinnis, City Manager Rogers.
Visitor: Curtis Edwards of the Battalion staff.
The special meeting was called to consider the repeal of
Ordinance No. 141, the question of extension of services, and salary
adjustments.
The Council being satisfied that the emergency which provoked the
passage of Ordinance No. 111 was past, on motion by Halpin, seconded by
Badgett, Ordinance No. 113 repealing Ordinance No. 141 was approved, and
publication to this effect authorized.
The Mayor reported that in a conference with Chancellor Gilchrist,
the request was made that the City's application for purchase of Dower in
proposed extensions of service lines be withdrawn. This the Mayor reported
he had done verbally and would confirm the reT..iest for withdrawal in
writing.
The Mayor reported a conference with the City Manager of Bryan
relative to e :tension of sewer lines, more particularly those extensions
now under joint study by both cities. Out of the discussion came the
agreement of the Council that the City would prefer to construct all parts
of such extensions which lie within the city limits, and the committee
representing the City in the discussions was advised to negotiate accordingly.
On recommendation of the City Manager, a djustment in salaries were
made as follows, all effective March 1, 1950: Ran Boswell, $3600 to $3900,
Mrs. Florence Neelley, $2/00 to $2700, Mrs. Johnnie Andrews, $1980 to $2100,
L. P. Dulaney, $3300 to X3600.
