STATION, TEXAS:
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT A special meeting of the City Council of
the City of College Station will be held on the 19th day of October, 1950,
at the City Hall in said city at 1:30 p.m. for the purpose of passing on
matters as follows:
1.To consider the offer of the sale of R.E.A. electric lines and rower
by the City of Bryan to the Citu of College Station.

CONSENT TO MEETING
We, the undersigned metabers of the City Council and the City Attorney
of the City of College Station, hereby accept service of the foregoing notice,
waiving any and all irregularities in such notice and consent and agree that
said City Council shall meet at the time and place therein named and for the
purpose therein stated.

The Council met in special session at 1:30 p -m- i-r'Lthihe following
members present: Mayor Langford; Council -men Badgett, BlackJitch,
Halpin, Orr; City Manager Rogers; City Attorney Barger; Utilities
Superintendent Dulaney; City Secretary McGinnis; Assistant City
Secretary Boswell. Visitors present: F. C. Bolton, M. C. Hughes,
N. F. Rode.
The purpose of the meeting was to consider the following communi-
cation from the City of Bryan:
The Bryan City Commission met in Special Session at
the City Hall at 5 P.m. on October 17, 1950. Present:
May -or R. C. Daa'isby, Commissioner P. W. Bruner and Commission-
er C. B. Moehlman., City Secretary, City Manager, and City
Attorney.
Upon motion of Commissioner Moehlman seconded by
Commissioner Bruner the City Manager was authorized
to negotiate R c-ntract with the City of College Sta-
tion as follows; said contract to !�e for a period of
five (5) yearo, from the date of its execution and to
embody the following stipulations:
1. That the City of Bryan sell. power to the City
of College Station on the basis or charge of one (1) cent
per KWH, subject to a Fuel Oil clause.
2. That the City of Bryan sell water to the City
of College Station on the basis of thirteen and one-
half (13-11-) cents per 1000 gallons, subject to a Fuel
Oil clause.
3. That the REA lines located in the City of
College Station and owned by the City of Bryan be
offered for sale by the City of '3ryan to tie City of
College Station at P price arrived at as a result
of an a --)praised value agreeable to both cities, it
being understoor that said offer is ma0e subject
to the approval of the Rural Electrification Ad-
ministration, Washington D. C.

Mpyor Langford was instructed to ask the City of Bryan to
begin immediately negotiations with the REA W the matter of
selling its lines in the City of College Station to said City;
to ask the City of Bryan to begin an appraisal of said lines
and to be prepared to make a definite offer of them to the
City of College Station; all with the view of the City of
Uollege Station's purchasing said lines Pnd electric nower
from the City of Bryan.
