HomeMy WebLinkAbout02/27/1951 - Special Minutes - City CouncilNOTICE OF SPECIAL MEETING February 27, 1951 _ TO THE MEMBERS OF THE CITY COUNCIL AND THE CITY ATTORNEY OF THE CITY OF COLLEGE STATION, TEXAS: NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a special meeting of the City Council of the City of College Station will be held on the 27th day of February, 1951, at the City Hall in said city at 4:00 p.m. for the purpose of passing on matters as follows: 1. For the purpose of employing Freese and Nichols as Consulting Engineers for extensions to be made in electric lines and distribution service in the College Hills area. McGinnis, City Secretary CONSENT TO MEETING We, the undersigned members of the City Council and the City Attorney of the City of College Station, hereby accept service of the foregoing notice, waiving any and all irregularities in such notice and consent and agree that said City Council shall meet at the time and place therein named and for the purpose therein stated. L D--,4 �k- Councilman City Attorney _� �' MINUTES OF SPECIAL CITY COUNCIL MEETING February 27, 1951 The Council met in special session at 4:00 p.m. with the following members present: Mayor Langford; Councilmen Orr, Fitch, Ames, Black, and Halpin; City Manager Rogers, Assistant City Secretary Boswell, and City Secretary McGinnis. On motion m= Councilman Orr, seconded by Councilman Fitch, the Mayor was authorized to sign a contract with Freese & Nichols, E4gineers, for professional services in connection with extension of electric lines in the College Hills area, particularly extensions required. to separate lines in the College Hills area from the REA main line through the City of College Station.
