August 18, 1951
The City Council met in special session at 11:00 a.m. with
the following present: Mayor Langford, Councilmen Boyer, Boyett,
Fitch, Halpin; City Secretary McGinnis, and the following business
was transacted:
RESOLUTION CONFIRMING SALE OF BONDS
The State of Texas
County of Brazos
City of College Station
On the 18th day of August, 1951, the City Council of the City
of College Station, Texas, convened in special session at the regular
meeting place in the City Hall, with the following members present,
to wit: Ernest Langford, Mayor; H. L. Boyer, A. P. Boyett, R. B. Halpin,
W. D. Fitch, Councilmen; N. M. McGinnis, City Secretary, and the following
absent: Councilmen Badgett and Orr, constituting a quorum, when,
among other proceedings had were the following:
Councilman Fitch introduced a resolution and moved its adoption.
The motion, carrying with it the adoption of the resolution, prevailed
by the following vote: Ayes: Boyer, Boyett, Halpin, Fitch;
NOES: None.
The resolution is as follows:
RESOLUTION
CONFIRMING SALE OF BONDS TO ROWLES, WINSTON & CO., OF
HOUSTON, TEKAS.
WHEREAS, The City Council of the City of College Station, Texas, deems
it advisable and to the best interest of said City of College Station to con-
firm
onfirm sale of certain bonds of said City to Rowles, Winston & Co., of Houston,
Texas;
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLLEGE STATION, TEXAS:
That the sale of $109000.00 CITY OF COLLEGE STATION WATERWORKS AND
SEWER SYSTEM RE,=4UE BONDS, SERIES II OF 1951, dated August 1, 1951, Numbers 1
to 10, inclusive, in the denomination of $1,000 each, (being part of a total
authorized issue of $30,000.00) to Rowles, Winston & Co., of Houston, Texas at
a price of par and accrued interest to date of delivery, be, and the same is here-
by confirmed.
The Mayor, City Secretary and City Treasurer are hereby authorized, directed.
and instructed to do all things necessary to deliver said bonds to said Rowles,
Winston & Co., at a price of par and accrued interest to date of delivery.
ADOPTED AND APPROVED, this the 18th day of Au , 1951.
