HomeMy WebLinkAbout12/21/1953 - Regular Minutes - City Council❑ Z Q CL 00 'Q F— V) CITY COUNCIL MEl l ING December 21, 1953 The City Council met in regular session on December 21,1953, at 4:30 P.M. with the following present: Mayor Langford: Councilmen Boyett, Pugh, Seeger and Sorrels; City I,4anager Boswell and City Secretary McGinnis. The City Manager presented a, request from I1,1r. L. S. Richardson, Superintendent of the A. & M. Consolidated Public Schools, to close Jersey Street to through traffic from Timber Street to Holick Drive. The Council tabled this request for the time being. A request from Mr. F1oy Saxon et a1, residing outside city limits, that the city supply them with water from a water main belonging to the college and located near the New Dairy Center was received by the Council. Mr. Saxon stated that officials of the college would approve the request provided all billing might be done through the city. Councilman Pugh made a motion, that the Piayor and City Manager be of this arrangement. seconded by Councilman Seeger, authorized to work out the details The vote of the Council was unanimous in favor of the motion.
