June 21, 1954
The City Council met in regular session Monday evening, June 21, 1954,
at 7:00 p.m., with the following present: Mayor Langford; Councilmen Boyett,
Pugh and Seeger; City Attorney Barger; City Manager Boswell and City Secretary
McGinnis; Mr. Homer A. Hunter and Mr. George Feagan.
a City Manager Boswell reported that Mr. J. C. Culpepper had been paid
$19,000.00 for utilities purchased from him in Oak Terrace Addition, the

money coming from the following funds:
Sewer Bond Fund $6,783.35
Water Bond Fund 1,356.18
CL Transferred from the Cemetery Fund 4500.00
CU General Fund 19860.47
M Loan from College Station Bank 71500.00

Q hearing on the budget as tentatively approved by the Council, and no one
appearing: Councilman Boyett made a motion, seconded by Councilman Pugh,
Z that Ordinance No. 191, an Ordinance fixing the City Budget for the fiscal
Q year beginning July 1, 1954, be passed.
~ The vote of the Council was unanimous in favor of the motion.

Councilman Pugh made a motion, seconded by Councilman Boyett, that
Ordinance No. 192, an Ordinance levying taxes for the use and support of
the City Goverment for the fiscal year beginning July 11 1954, be passed.
The vote of the Council was unanimous in favor of the motion.
Mr. Hunter discussed the many phases of the problem of adequate
sewer extension and their probable cost, and stated that he would meet
with the Council for further discussion once the report of the special
advisory committee is received.
