HomeMy WebLinkAbout03/15/1954 - Regular Minutes - City CouncilQ G C} Z a V) a a_ Cb Ln 0 LX z me REGULAR MEETING OF CITY COUNCIL March 15, 1954 The City Council met in regular session March 15, 1954, with the following members present: Mayor Langford; Councilmen Orr, Pugh and Seeger; City Attorney Barger; City Manager Boswell and City Secretary McGinnis. Councilman Orr made a motion, seconded by Councilman Pugh, that dedication of a certain parcel of land to the City by Messrs. H. E. Burgess and Daniel Russell, dated February 17, 1954, be declared acceptable and that the deed to the property be recorded in the Deed Records of Brazos County, Texas. The vote of the Council was unanimous in favor of the motion. The request for the re -zoning of Lots 1 and 2, Block B, College Heights Addition, was referred to the Zoning Commission for recomendation. Councilman Pugh made a motion, seconded by Councilman Orr, that the request of J.B. Lilly and Tom Maples to sell tickets involving a drawing for services for certain individuals be denied. The vote of the Council was unanimous in favor of the motion. The Council agreed to hold special meeting at 5:00 P. M. on Friday, April 9, 1954, to canvass the returns of the city election to be held on April 6, 1954. ATTEST: City Secretary APPROVED: Mayor 004-95 q
