MINUTES OF REGULAR MEETING August 25, 1858 w w a Members present: Mayor Langford; Councilmen Boyett, McCall, Sorrels; City Manager Boswell; City Attorney Dillon; City Secretary McGinnis. M d Visitor: Mr. B. J. Kling. The minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved. Lai CL Cb The request of Councilman Anderson that he be excused from this meeting was granted by unanimous consent by the council. On motion by Councilman Sorrels, seconded by Councilman McCall, 0 Ordinance No. 268, a municipal maintenance ordinance, was passed and 0 approved. Cm The city manager reported that Old County road from Hereford street to Winding Road had been oiled at a cost of $68 and that Mr. George W. Litton and other property owners concerned paid the cost for materials; and that the paving at Park Place and Timber street had been completed. On motion by Councilman Sorrels, seconded by Councilman McCall, the council approved the preliminary plat of Woodson Village as sub- mitted and approved by the Planning and Zoning Commission. In con- nection with the question of certain streets adjacent to this plat, the city manager and city attorney together with Mr. B. J. Kling were requested to meet with the developers to discuss particularly the proposed street to the east and that along the Old County Road in relation to cost and future development. On motion by Councilman Sorrels, seconded by Councilman Boyett, the mayor and city secretary were authorized to sign for the city P Amendment No. 2 to the contract between the city and Spencer J. Buchanan and Associates. I� On motion by Councilman Sorrels, seconded by Councilman McCall, the mayor was authorized to sign the plans for proposed improvements w on Highway 6, South. LA City Attorney Dillon reported that he would have a proposed Ld amendment to Ordinance No. 38 prepared and ready for presentation IL at the next meeting of the council. Harrington, President of A & M College, in which he stated that the college could not participate in street lighting along Highway 6. The council adjourned subject to call.
