HomeMy WebLinkAbout1984-1501 - Ordinance - 02/23/1984ORDINANCE NO. 1501 AN ORDINANCE REZONING A 38.68 ACRE TRACT OR PARCEL OF LAND LYING AND BEING SITUATED IN THE RICHARD CARTER LEAGUE, A-8, COLLEGE STATION, BRAZOS COUNTY, TEXAS, AND BEING A PART OF THE 113.62 ACRE TRACT OESCRIBED IN THE DEED RECOROEO IN VOLUME 91 PAGE 82 OF THE DEED RECORDS OF BRAZOS COUNTY, TEXAS AND BEING MORE FULLY OESCRIBED BY METES AND BOUNDS IN THE BOOY OF THIS OROINANCE FROM APARTMENTS HIGH OENSITY DISTRICT R-6 ANO MOBILE/MODU- LAR HOME OISTRICT R-7 TO GENERAL COMMERCIAL DISTRICT C-1. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLLEGE STATION, TEXAS: WHEREAS, the City Council held a public hearing in the City Hall at 7:00 P.M. on Thurs- day, February 23, 1984 on the question of rezoning certain areas within the City Limits; AND, WHEREAS, the City Council has determined the following: To rezone or change the classlflcation of the following tract of land lying and being situated in the Richard Carter League, A-8, College Station, Brazos County, Texas, and being more fully described by metes and bounds as follows: A 38.68 acre tract or parcel of land lying and being situated in the Richard Carter League, A-8, College Statlon, Brazos County, Texas, and being part of the 113.62 acre tract described in the Deed recorded in Volume 91, Page 82 of the Deed Records of Brazos County, Texas, and being located approximately 600 feet north of the intersection of State Highway 6 East By-Pass and State Highway 30, and being more particularly described as follows: BEGINNING at the intersection of northeast right-of-way line of the aforementioned State Highway 6 East By-Pass and the northwest line of the aforementioned 113.65 acre tract, same being the west corner of a 20.82 acre tract No. 1 being out of the said 113.62 acre tract; THENCE N q2°O0~O0" E along the aforementioned northwest line of the 113.62 acre tract for a distance of 300 feet to a point for the PLACE OF BEGINNING of this 38.68 acre tract. said point being a north corner of the aforementioned 20.82 acre tract; THENCE N q2°O0~O0" E along the aforementioned northwest llne of the 113.62 acre tract for a distance of 650.00 feet to a point for corner located in the centerllne of Carter Creek, same being the north corner of the said 113.62 acre tract; THENCE along the aforementioned centerline of Carter Creek as follows: N 87°15~00' E for a distance of 166.00 feet to an angle point; N 31~52'00' E for a dlstance of 73.00 feet to an angle point; S 89u22~00'' E for a distance of 78.30 feet to a polnt for corner; THENCE S 39°25~15' E across the aforementioned 113.62 acre tract for a distance of 1276.76 feet to a point for corner, same being an east corner of the aforementioned 20.82 acre tract; THENCE S q2°18~30'' W along a northwest line of the aforementioned 20.82 acre tract for a distance of 892.00 feet to a point for corner belng an interior L corner of the said 20.82 acre tract; THENCE N 37°55'q3' W along a northeast line of the aforementioned 20.82 acre tract for a distance of ~17.1~ feet to a point for angle point, same being a north corner of the said 20.82 acre tract; 0, 118 Ordinance No. 1501 page 2 THENCE 5 h2°lS'37"W along a northwest line of the aforementioned 20.82 acre tract for a distance of 3~0.00 feet to a point for corner, same being an interior L corner of the said 20.82 acre tract; THENCE along the northeast line of the aforementioned 20.82 acre tract as follows: N 40°53~03'~ W for a distance of 73.08 feet to an angle point; N 29°27t53'' W for a distance of 373.96 feet to the PLACE OF BEGINNING containing 38.68 acres of land more or less, from Apartments High Density District R-6 and Hobile/ Hodular Home District R-7 to General Commercial District C-1.
