A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR, CITY MANAGER AND
CITY ATTORNEY TO ACQUIRE 1.7508 ACRES IN THE LIEVEN J.
VAN RIET TRACT IN THE ROBERT STEVENSON LEAGUE FOR USE
AS AN ELECTRIC LINE EASEMENT BY THE CITY OF COLLEGE
STATION, TEXAS.
WHEREAS, the City of College Station having determined
the necessity of providing electric service to six
properties annexed into the City along Graham Road in
the City of College Station; and
WHEREAS, the City Council having determined that it is
necessary to acquire the property described in Exhibit
"A" attached to this Resolution, and that the public
need requires the acquisition of same in such manner as
to make the property available for lawful use for such
purposes;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of College Station that the property described
in Exhibit A attached hereto shall be acquired by the
City; and the reasonable cash market value of same
shall be determined and paid according to law, either
by voluntary purchase or by condemnation; and that the
City Manager, the Mayor, and the City Attorney are
authorized to take any and all necessary actions to
obtain and pay for such property, including the mar-
ketable fee simple title thereto, free and clear of any
restrictions or covenants inconsistent with the use of
same for all lawful purposes. Further, that the City
Attorney is by this resolution expressly authorized to
initiate and pursue condemnation proceedings and any
other necessary litigation incident to the purpose
herein set forth.

PROPOSED ELECTRICAL EASEMENT
1.7508 Acres (76,263 Sq. Ft.)
Being all that certain tract or parcel of land lying and being
situated in the ROBERT STEVENSON SURVEY, Abstract No. 54, in Brazos
County, Texas, and being a portion of the 159.657 Acre Tract
conveyed by Wellborn Road, Ltd. to Lieven J. Van Riet et al by
Trustee's Deed dated April 7, 1987 and recorded in Volume 963, Page
29 of the Official Records of Brazos County, Texas.
COMMENCING: at a ~-inch iron rod found marking the most easterly
corner of the said 159.657 acre tract, said iron rod also being in
the southwest right-of-way line of Sohaf£er Road;
THENCEI S 41' 57' 50" W along the common line of the said 159.657
acre tract and the Texas A&M Research Foundation 4.00 acre tract
recorded in Volume 936, Page 151 and the 2.62 acre tract recorded
in Volume 1026, Page 55 for a distance of 600.00 feet to a %-inch
iron rod set for the POINT OF BEGINNING;
THENCE: S 41' 57' 50" W continuing along the southeast line of the
said 159.657 acre tract for a distance of 1915.77 feet to a ~-inch
iron rod found for the most southerly corner of this easement, said
iron rod also marking the north corner of the University Industrial
Center Phase I, 11.29 acre tract as recorded in Volume 456, Page
249;
THENCE: N 48' 02' 10" W for a distance of 25.00 feet to a %-inch
iron rod set for corner;
THENCE: N 41' 57' 50" E for a distance of 1118.03 feet to a %-inch
iron rod set for corner;
THENCE: N 48' 32' 34" W for a distance of 1418.38 feet to a %-inch
iron rod set for corner, said iron rod also being in the fenced
southeast right-of-way line of a County Road called Arnold Road;
THENCE: N 41' 45' 11" E along said Arnold Road for a distance of
20.00 feet feet to a ~-inch iron rod set for corner;
THENCE: S 48' 32' 34" E into the interior of said 159.657 acre
tract for a distance of 1418.46 feet to a %-inch iron rod set for
corner;
THENCE: N 41' 57' 50" E for a distance of 777.74 feet to a %-inch
iron rod set for corner;
THENCE: ~ 48' 02' 10" E for a dista6ce of 25.00 feet to the POINT
OF BEGINNING and containing 1.7508 acres of land (76,263 Sq. Ft.),
more or less.
