RESOLUTION REQUESTING THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE
COLLEGE STATION ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT FOUNDATION TO MEET
FOR THE PURPOSE OF DISSOLUTION.
WHEREAS, on December 11, 1985, the City Council passed
Resolution No. 12-11-85-03 authorizing the creation of
the College Station Economic Development Foundation for
the purpose of promoting the interests of the City as
set forth in its Articles of Incorporation; and
WHEREAS, on May 25, 1989, the City Council passed Reso-
lution No. 05-25-89-07 authorizing the City to join
with the City of Bryan in creating and participating in
the Bryan-College Station Economic Development Founda-
tion; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of College
Station has determined that there is no longer a need
for the College Station Economic Development Foundation
and, therefore, the foundation should be dissolved;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of College Station that the organization known
as the College Station Economic Development Foundation,
which was created as above stated, be dissolved in the
manner as set forth in its Articles of Incorporation
Charter; that the City Council hereby requests that the
Board of Directors of the College Station Economic
Development Foundation meet for the purpose of dissolu-
tion.
