COUNCILMEMBERS PRESENT: Mayor Ringer, Councilmembers Brown, McIlhaney, Kennady, Crouch, Gardner COUNCILMEMBERS ABSENT: Councilman Schneider Agenda Item No. 1 - Closed session to di.~_ ,,, personnel [6~2-17(2)(r)]. The council moved into closed session at 5:00 p.m. for the purpose of discussing appointment of citizens to the city boards and committees. Agenda Item No. 2 - Action on closed session- The council moved into open session at 7:00 p.m. The following citizen committee appointments were made. Councilman McIlhaney moved to reappoint Fred Dollar and Eileen Kramer with Debbie Adams as a new appointment to the Cemetery Committee. The motion was seconded by Councilman Crouch which carried unanimously, 6-0. Martha Sanders, Sandra Gaston, Suzanne Holt, Paul Williams, Greg Buell as Chairman for two year terms and Elise Garrison for a one year term. Councilman Brown moved to approve the appointments to the Community Appearance committee. The motion was seconded by Councilman Crouch which carried unanimously, 6-0. Charles Freeman and John Grillo appointed to the Electrical Examining Board. The motion to reappoint these members to the Electrical Examining board was made by Councilman Crouch. Councilman Gardner seconded the motion which carried unanimously, 6-0. Gary Halter, Chairman, Lois Beach, Joan Lamkin reappointed members and new appointments, Nancy Sawtelle and Gary Basinger as two year terms, Deborah Jesek as a one year term. Councilman Crouch moved to appoint these citizens to the Historic Preservation Committee. The motion was seconded by Councilman Brown which carried unanimously, 6-0. Councilman Kennady moved to reappoint Craig Hall and to appoint new members Mike Lane, Julius Gribou, Mary Elizabeth Herring, and Kyle Hawthorne as Chairman of the Planning and Zoning Commission. The motion was seconded by Councilman McIlhaney which carried unanimously, 6-0. Councilman Kennady moved to appoint Marci Rodgers as Chairman, Gaff Schmidt, Debbie Webb and Mike Winner to the Parks and Recreation Board. Councilman Crouch seconded the motion which carried unanimously, 6-0. City Council Special Meeting Thursday, May 28, 1992 Page 2 Councilman Kennady made a motion to appoint Robert DeOtte, Jim Gaston, Dick Birdwell as regular members; Randall Whittlesey, Wic McKean a alternate for two year terms, and Robert Davis as alternate for one year term, with Glenda Baker as Chairman of the Zoning Board of Adjustments. The motion was seconded by Councilman Crouch which carried unanimously, 6-0. Councilman Crouch moved to appoint Gail Schmidt to the Joint Relief Funding Review Committee. The motion was seconded by Councilman McIlhaney which carried unanimously, 6-0. Councilman Crouch made a motion to appoint the following citizens to the Construction Board of Adjustments and Appeals and Building Standards Commission. Dan Sears, Tom Wilson, Pat Boyett, Mike Cronan, James Holster and Danny Sustaire as regular members. Wic McKean and Bill Lewis as alternates. The motion was seconded by Councilman Kennady which carried unanimously, 6-0. Mayor Ringer announced that there are openings on various committees. Applications will continue to be accepted.
