RESOLUTION SE'I-I'ING THE DATES, TIMES AND PLACES FOR
PUBLIC HEARINGS ON THE PROPOSED ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN
PROPERTY BY THE CITY OF COLLEGE STATION, TEXAS INTO ITS
CORPORATE BOUNDARIES, DIRECTING THE PREPARATION OF
SERVICE PLANS FOR SAID AREAS, AND PROVIDING FOR AN
EFFECTIVE DATE FOR THE COMPLETION OF ANNEXATION.
WHEREAS, the City of College Station, Texas, is a home-rule municipal-
ity with the power and authority to annex property into its corporate limits
pursuant to Chapter 43 of the Texas Local Government Code; and
WHEREAS, Section 43.056 requires the City to direct its planning
department to prepare service plans that provide for the extension of full
municipal services to the areas to be annexed before the publication of
notice of the first public hearings required under Section 43.052; and
WHEREAS, the proposed service plans must be available to the public
for inspection at the first public hearing;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF COLLEGE STATION, TEXAS:
That the City Planner is directed to prepare the service plans for the
extension of municipal services into the areas proposed for annexation in
accordance with state law requirements, prior to the publication of notice
of the first public hearing, and to make it available to the public at the first
public hearing required by this resolution.
That on the 10th day of November, 1994, at 7:00 p.m. in the City of
College Station City Council Chambers located at City Hall, 1101 Texas
Avenue, College Station, Texas, the City Council will hold a public hear-
ing giving all interested persons the opportunity to be heard on the
proposed annexation by the City of College Station, Texas, on the prop-
erty described in Exhibit A attached hereto and incorporated herewith.
That on the 16th day of November, 1994, at 4:00 p.m. in the City of
College Station City Council Chambers located at City Hall, 1101 Texas
Avenue, College Station, Texas, the City Council will hold a second public
hearing at which persons interested in the annexation will be given the
opportunity to be heard on the proposed annexation by the City of
College Station, Texas, of the property described in Exhibit A.

That the City Secretary of the City of College Station, Texas, is hereby
authorized and directed to cause notice of such public hearings to be
published in a newspaper of general circulation in the municipality and in
the areas proposed for annexation in accordance with Section 43.052 of
the Texas Local Government Code.
That on the 8th day of December, 1994, the City Council of the City of
College Station will consider adopting an ordinance annexing the areas
described in Exhibit A.
That this resolution shall be effective on and after its date of passage.
