Mayor Larry Ringer opened the meeting at 12:05 p.m. He welcomed the
audience, family members, and friends of councilmembers present.
Mayor Ringer presented service awards to Hubbard Kennady and Nancy
Crouch. He presented certificates of election to Hubbard Kennady and Dick
Birdwell, newly elected councilmembers as a result of the May 4th election.
Lynn Mcllhaney was sworn in as the city's first woman mayor.
Municipal Court Judge for the City of College Station recited the oath of office to
these individuals. Each new member signed the statement and officially began
office at this time.
Mayor Lynn Mcllhaney presented Larry Ringer with a service award and
gratitude of thanks for his dedication and service to the community.
Mayor Lynn Mcllhaney adjourned the meeting at 12:25 p.m.
A reception was held in honor of former Mayor Ringer and newly inducted
councilmembers and Mayor Mcllhaney.
