Agenda Item No. 1 -- Present canvass of 1996 City/School Election Results
City Secretary Hooks thanked the election officers who worked the election.
She made several comments about the conduct of the election and announced
the date for special election to be held on August 10, 1996.
Presiding Judge of Central Counting, Kay Parker, presented the results of the
election held on Saturday, May 4th.
Councilman Fox moved to adopt the resolution outlining the canvass of returns
for the election held on May 4, 1996.
Councilman Kennady seconded the motion which carded unanimously, 6-0.

Councilmember Crouch asked the Council if she could attend the Brazos 2020
vision retreat in the role of Secretary to the Board. Council expressed no
objection.

The council moved into closed session at 4:20 p.m.

No action was taken.

Mayor Ringer adjourned the meeting at 6:30 p.m.
