A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF COLEGE STATION, TEXAS
HEREINAFTER REFERRED TO AS "APPLICANT", DESIGNATING
CERTAIN OFFICIALS AS BEING RESPONSIBLE FOR, ACTING FOR,
AND ON BEHALF OF THE "APPLICANT" IN DEALING WITH THE
TEXAS PARKS AND WILDLIFE DEPARTMENT, HEREINAFTER
REFERRED TO AS "DEPARTMENT", FOR THE PURPOSE OF
PARTICIPATING IN THE GRANT PROGRAMS; CERTIFYING THAT
THE "APPLICANT" IS ELIGIBLE TO RECEIVE ASSISTANCE UNDER
SUCH PROGRAMS.
WHEREAS, the Texas Legislature has authorized by a rider in the Texas
Parks and Wildlife appropriation budget for the 1996-97
biennium, to set aside annually the fimds to be used to help
introduce underserved constituents to services, programs, and
facilities of the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department; and
WHEREAS, the Texas Legislature has approved local non-profit groups, non-
political groups, and local governments to participate in this
grant process; and
WHEREAS, the "Applicant" is fully eligible to receive assistance under this
program; and
WHEREAS, the "Applicant" is desirous of authorizing an official to represent
and act for the "applicant" in dealing with the "Department"
concerning this program;
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE "APPLICANT":
SECTION 1: That the "applicant" hereby certifies that they are eligible
to receive assistance under this program.
SECTION 2: That the "Applicant" hereby authorizes and directs its City
Manager to act for the "Applicant" in dealing with the "Department" for the
purpose of this grant program, and George Noe is hereby officially designated
as the representative in this regard.
SECTION 3: The "Applicant" hereby specifically authorizes the official
to make application to the "Department" concerning the grant program.
Introduced, read, and passed by the affirmation vote of the "Applicant" on
this 10th day or April, 1996.
