COLLEGE STATION CITY COUNCIL
Workshop Meeting
Thursday, May 14, 1998 at 3:00 p.m.
College Station City Hall
COUNCILMEMBERS PRESENT: Mayor Mcllhaney, Councilmembers Silvia,
Anderson, Esmond, Hazen, Mariott
COUNCILMEMBERS ABSENT: Councilman Hickson
STAFF PRESENT: City Manager Noe, City Secretary Hooks, City Attorney
Cargill, Jr., Assistant City Manager Brymer
Mayor Mcllhaney opened the meeting at 3:00 p.m.
ARenda Item No. 1 -- Oath of office for newly elected officials and
presentation of certificates of election.
Municipal Court Judge Tripp Walter presented the oath of office to each newly
officer from the May 2nd election, Mayor Lynn Mollhaney; Councilmember Place
2, Ron Silvia; Councilmember Place 4, Larry Mariott; Councilmember Place 6,
Anne Hazen.
Each councilmember received a certificate of election.
Agenda Item No. 2-- Committee Reports.
City Manager Noe reported that the City Affairs Committee meeting scheduled
for May 21st was cancelled.
Mayor Mcllhaney reported that the regional council of governments will continue
to meet on the second Wednesday of each month.

Council scheduled a planning retreat for May 31 and June 1.

Quarterly Legislative Meeting with Bryan and Brazos County, June 4, 1998 at
7:00 p.m. Brazos Center
Pre-AMCC Conference Planning Meeting in June

No executive session was held.
A.qenda Item No. 6 -- Adjourn.
The meeting was adjourned at 3:20 p.m. A reception was held immediately
following the business meeting.
