Mayor Mcllhaney called the meeting to order at 1:40 p.m.
Agenda Item No. 1 -- Canvass of Recount Results
Mayor Mcllhaney explained that the recount held on Monday, May 18th related to the
vote count on Proposition No. 2 (Northgate Parking Garage Referendum). City
Secretary Hooks read the following statement into the record:
The Recount Committee was appointed and the recount was conducted on Monday,
May 18, 1998 with the results as follows:
Proposition No. 2
FOR THE ORDINANCE 1,895
AGAINST THE ORDINANCE 1,946
OVERVOTES 8
UNDERVOTES 189
May 2, 1998 results:1894

Councilman Mariott made a motion to adopt the resolution canvassing the results of the
recount. Seconded by Councilman Silvia which carried unanimously, 4-0.
Mayor Mcllhaney thanked the members of the recount committee for their efforts.
