AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 11, SECTION 2, SUBSECTION A(1) AND
SUBSECTION E OF THE CODE OF ORBINANCES OF THE CITY OF COLLEGE
STATION, TEXAS, RELATING TO WATER ANB SEWER SERVICES AND
PROVIDING FOR EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLLEGE
STATION, TEXAS
That Chapter 11, Section 2, Subsection A(1) of the Code of
Ordinances of the Clty of College Station Is hereby amended to
read as follows=
"SECTION 2: WATER AND SEWER SERVICES
The monthly rates to be charged consumers for public utility
services, namely water and/or sewerage connectlons, shall be

(a)
For domestic consumers, whether single-family or
multi-family, uslng water wlthin the corporate
Iimlts of the city:
Charge per thousand gallons - $1.33
Service charge per month - $4.00
(bi For commercial and/or industrial consumers using
water within the corporate limits of the city:
Charge per thousand gallons Sl.33
Service charge per month - $4.00
(c)
Subject to available capacity under present City of
College Station load requirements, present system
capabllity, antlclpated load requlrements and
anticlpated system capability, the Clty of College
Station will enter Into contracts for the sale of
water outside the Clty upon final approval of the
City Councll.
(d)
All customers receiving water servlce under
contract in which water rates are set by ordlnance
or unaddressed by contract shall pay 1.5 times the
domestic consumer cost of water as set by the City
Councll for each flscal year.
(e)
In the event the City of College Station is unable
to meet the water service demands of Its resldents
and customers outside the city limits, then Clty of
College Station residents shall receive preference
in service unless otherwise required by contract."
II.
That Chapter 11, Section 2, Subsection E of the Code of
Ordinances of the City of College Station, Texas, is hereby
amended to read as follows:
These rates shall be effective on all Invoices submitted by
the City of College Station to users on or after
July 1, 1985."

Should any section, paragraph, sentence, clause, phrase, or word
of thls ordinance be declared unconstitutional or Invalld for any
purpose, the remainder of this ordinance shall not be affect ed
thereby·
