COLLEGE STATION CITY COUNCIL
Special Meeting
Wednesday, July 5, 2000 at 6:00 p.m.
Utilities Service Center Training Room
COUNCIL MEMBERS PRESENT: Mayor McIlhaney, Hazen, Garner, Silvia
COUNCIL MEMBERS ABSENT: Massey, Mariott, Maloney
STAFF PRESENT: OTIS Director Piwonka, City Secretary Hooks, Assistant City Secretary
Casares, Staff Assistant Tucker, Network Systems Analyst Bodholt, Micro computer
Coordinator Price, Asst. OTIS Director Burnside
Mayor McIlhaney called the special training meeting to order at 6:15 p.m. The purpose of the
meeting was to provide computer training to council members on specific software utilized by
the city for e-mail transactions and to familiarize the council on Internet access to city Web page
and electronic council agendas.
Each council member was provided a training notebook that outlined the steps for Groupwise
remote access and internet access.
The training was useful and council's questions were answered by staff. No action was taken.
The meeting adjourned at 8:25 p.m.
