HomeMy WebLinkAbout6-26-2003-10.03 - Resolution - 06/26/2003A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLLEGE STATION, TEXAS AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO SIGN A TEXAS HIGHWAY TRAFFIC SAFETY PROGRAM GRANT AMENDMENT FOR THE COMPREHENSIVE SELECTIVE TRAFFIC ENFORCEMENT PROGRAM WITH THE TEXAS DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION. WHEREAS, The Texas Department of Transportation and the City of College Station executed a grant agreement on October 1, 2002, to conduct a traffic safety project generally described as Comprehensive Selective Traffic Enforcement Program through September 30, 2003; and WHEREAS, a modification is being made to the grant agreement performance goals to increase the number of arrests and citations; and WHEREAS, no modification is needed to the maximum amount payable of $63,030; and WHEREAS, no modification is needed for the grant completion date of September 30, 2003; now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLLEGE STATION, TEXAS: Part 1: That the City Council of the City of College Station, Texas, hereby approves the grant agreement amendment. Part 2: That the City Council of the City of College Station hereby authorizes the Mayor to sign the Comprehensive Selective Traffic Enforcement Program grant agreement amendment referred to above: Part 3: That this resolution shall take effect immediately from and after its passage.
